How to Speed Up Slimjet Browser Performance - Slimjet

Open Settings > Performance and disable unnecessary extensions to speed up Slimjet browser performance right away.

Slimjet is built on Chromium, so it's already quick by default, but you can squeeze even more speed out of it. The browser comes with built-in ad blocking and privacy features that actually help reduce lag by stopping resource-heavy ads from loading in the first place. That's a huge performance win!

Clear Cache and Browsing Data

Hit Ctrl+Shift+Delete to open the Clear Browsing Data window. Remove cached files, cookies, and temporary data regularly — these pile up and slow things down. Do this monthly for best results. You'll notice faster page loads immediately after clearing.

Disable Unneeded Extensions

Slimjet lets you customize extensively, including extension management. Go to Settings > Extensions and turn off any add-ons you don't actively use. Each extension running in the background drains memory and CPU resources. Less is more when you're chasing browser acceleration.

Optimize Slimjet Settings

Visit Settings > Performance and look for options to reduce memory usage. Disable auto-play for videos and limit the number of open background tabs. You can also manage startup pages — fewer auto-loading pages means faster boot times.

Hardware Acceleration Matters

Make sure hardware acceleration is enabled in Settings > Advanced. This offloads graphics processing to your GPU, which improves faster browsing significantly on most systems.

Keep It Updated

Install the latest Slimjet 49 version. Updates patch performance bugs and improve optimization across the board.

The easiest way to improve performance is tackling one thing at a time. Start by clearing your cache today, then disable unused extensions tomorrow. Small tweaks compound into noticeably snappier browsing within a week.
